On 8th May, 2022, in Tunis (Tunisia) the springtime meeting of the African Group of the IAJ started. In attendance were member associations from 16 African countries, together with an observer from Rwanda. The meeting took place under the presidency of Mrs. Marcelle Kouassi, with the attendance of the Secretary-General of the IAJ Mr. Giacomo Oberto and of the Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Raffaele Gargiulo. The meeting deals with current problems of the judiciary in Africa; an international conference on the alternative criminal sanctions has been organised.
